Despite what Saturday Night Live’s Lorne Michaels said about network TV’s staying power while accepting the sole televised award for a broadcast series during Monday night’s Emmys, perhaps they should be very afraid of streaming services: Amazon’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel took home five of the comedy categories after all. Check out the full winners list here (which includes much love for Barry, The Americans, and The Assassination Of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story, and a little for Outstanding Drama Series Game of Thrones), and a rundown of the best and worst of the telecast below. H.E.R. Steals the ‘Focus’ at BET Awards 2018 & Teams With Daniel Caesar for ‘Best Part’

H.E.R. often shuns the spotlight, so it was a pleasant surprise to have the “Focus” placed directly on the enigmatic R&B singer at Sunday’s (June 24) 2018 BET Awards. She kicked off her set on a stage shrouded in smoke with the song “Focus,” for a perfectly simple performance that put all the attention on her flawless vocals. She then grabbed the electric guitar to have her very own Prince moment, shredding as the blue light shone around her through the smoke. And that wasn’t all: She also enlisted fellow R&B standout Daniel Caesar for their duet “Best Part.” The pair traded verses on an apartment stoop while Caesar took over on guitar duties. Her sunglasses might have hidden her eyes on Sunday night, but the impressive performance sh...

Disney Channel actors, Radio Disney singers and social media superstars hailed the red carpet for an afternoon dedicated to new faces and nostalgia at the Radio Disney Music Awards on Friday (June 23) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. Online heroes united for epic selfies per the Selfie Kid, whose buddy the Backpack Kid — propagator of the viral flossing dance — later threw his signature item on stage declaring that school was out and summer had officially started. A guest attempted yodeling inside the venue after following the lead of Mason Ramsey, the 11-year-old “Famous” sensation whose single landed him the No. 4 spot on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart (dated May 12) after yodeling at a Walmart awarded him performance gigs at both Coachella and Stagecoach earlier thi...

Jennifer Lawrence & Jodie Foster Will Present Best Actress at 2018 Oscars, Replacing Casey Affleck: Report

The Oscars will be breaking a tradition this year that is fitting given the recent powerful #MeToo movement. According to Variety, four actresses will be presenting the awards for best actor and best actress. Jennifer Lawrence and Jodie Foster will give out the award to best actress, and Jane Fonda will team up with Helen Mirren to announce best actor. In years past, the winner of the previous year’s award presents the category for the opposite gender. However, Casey Affleck, who won 2017’s lead actor award for his role in Manchester by the Sea, withdrew as a presenter in January, as a result of two settled sexual harassment lawsuits that stemmed from the set of his 2010 film I’m Not Here. The 2018 Oscars will air live Sunday, March 4 on ABC at 8 p.m. EST.
