Kanye West and Kid Cudi’s collaborative project KIDS SEE GHOSTS and Dierks Bentley‘s The Mountain are both on track to score debuts in the top five on next week’s Billboard 200 albums chart, according to industry forecasters.
KIDS SEE GHOSTS’ self-titled debut set may bow at No. 2 on the June 23-dated Billboard 200 with perhaps 135,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending June 14. Bentley’s new The Mountain is likely to launch at No. 3 with around 100,000 units, securing the country star his ninth top 10 on the chart.
Both albums should arrive behind Dave Matthews Band’s Come Tomorrow, which could start at No. 1 with over 275,000 units. (The album’s forecast has grown a bit from its June 11 prognostication of 250,000.) All three efforts were released on June 8.
The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The top 10 of the June 23-dated Billboard 200 chart is scheduled to be revealed on Billboard’s websites on Sunday, June 17.
