Camila Cabello Thought She Wouldn’t Live to See Her Album Come Out

It was the night before Camila Cabello would finally unleash her debut album to the world, and she thought she was going to die. As the story goes, the “Havana” singer was staying in a New York City hotel with a 4 a.m. wakeup call for promo the next morning, Jan. 12. She opted to go to bed at a sensible time, around 7 or 8 p.m. Of course, the big day ahead left her a bit on edge. “I could not sleep. My heart was beating so fast,” Cabello told Zane Lowe in an interview for Apple Music’s Beats 1 Monday (Jan. 15). ” I would just try to go to sleep, and then I would just get my phone and I’d be like, ‘Did it come out yet?'” The anticipation was to be expected, but what happened next was not. In her restless state, an unexpected disturbance ...

BTS Horror Fanfic ‘Outcast’ Goes Viral on Twitter Thanks to ARMYs

K-pop superstars BTS have gone viral again — thanks to fan fiction. Not just any fan fiction, though. Outcast is a horror fanfic that doubled as an interactive game on Twitter. The cross-genre phenomenon is the latest peg in the domination of the boy band’s fandom, called ARMY, on Twitter. Outcast incorporates a fandom-wide choose-your-own-adventure storyline, as fans were encouraged to vote on a poll every night for five nights (along with a bonus storyline on a sixth night), deciding how each cliffhanger resolves itself. It’s like Twitch for fan fiction. The game started on Jan. 3, and the bonus night wrapped up on Jan. 8. Main rapper Suga is the protagonist who, along with best friend J-Hope, downloads a game called Outcast. The two control characters suspiciously named afte...

Tennis Star Victoria Azarenka Scores Huge Win In Nasty Custody War

Tennis Star Victoria Azarenka Scores Huge Win In Nasty Custody War 1/15/2018 4:41 PM PST EXCLUSIVE Tennis superstar Victoria Azarenka is one step closer to resuming her pro career — after getting a huge win in her custody case that should clear the path for her to travel with her baby again.  As we previously reported, Azarenka — who’s a citizen of Belarus — went to war with her baby daddy Billy McKeague in 2017 after he filed paternity papers in L.A., where Azarenka trains. The filing resulted in the judge forbidding either parent to take the child out of California until an agreement was reached.  The problem … Azarenka (the former #1 ranked player) competes all over the world — but she refused to leave her 1-year-old child behind. As a result, she pul...

Logan Paul Yes, Even I Deserve a Second Chance 1/15/2018 4:29 PM PST EXCLUSIVE Logan Paul says he’s learned a lot from the backlash he received, and money he’s lost, since posting video of a suicide victim — and believes he’ll bounce back … eventually. We got Paul Monday afternoon at LAX and he admitted he’s been treated “fairly” — referring to YouTube yanking him from one of its original series, and cutting off his main revenue stream from his 15 million subscribers. Still, Paul didn’t seem the least bit concerned about money — he’s got a backup plan — and said, “Everyone deserves second chances, bro.”   Paul’s already issued multiple apologies, but he hinted there was another statement coming ...

Sen. Kamala Harris Feeling the Beat For MLK Day Parade 1/15/2018 3:08 PM PST Sen. Kamala Harris made the most of her Grand Marshal title at Kindom Day Parade in L.A. by getting up close and personal with the bands … and the Senator was getting it.  The junior senator from Cali did a little — emphasis on little — dancing when a drum corps started doing their thing Monday during the parade. Natalie Portman was hanging with Sen. Harris much of the day, and recorded her moves. Kamala and Natalie also joined in for a “TIME’S UP” chant during the 33rd annual parade.  Here’s the thing … there’s been a lot of buzz about Kamala running for prez in 2020 — so that dancing vid could get a lot of play down the road. Just sayin’.

Hawaii Missile Alert Duck & Cover is Best Advice … But, Location is Everything 1/15/2018 1:07 PM PST EXCLUSIVE The Hawaiian missile alert instruction to take cover wherever possible isn’t an antiquated tip — it’s still the safest response in a real nuke scenario. As we reported … Hawaiians got a horrifically false alert Saturday telling them to “seek immediate shelter” due to an incoming missile. We spoke to Suzet McKinney — a member of the Science and Security Board of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists (basically, a nuclear security expert) — and she defended the advice. According to McKinney, getting underneath or inside anything that can immediately protect you from loose shrapnel could save your life. Retired Navy Seal Don M...

F*ck everybody that don’t believe in me.'” Enjoy.
