Reba McEntire I think “Mary Did You Know?” and “O Holy Night” are my two favorite ones. The melodies an...

Morrissey Says He’s Done With Print Interviews After Harvey Weinstein & Kevin Spacey Quotes

At a concert in Chicago this weekend, Morrissey responded to the controversy sparked by his recent interviews about the wave of sexual assault allegations against members of the Hollywood elite. The former Smiths frontman faced backlash last week over an interview he did with the German publication Spiegel Online in which he dismissed sexual assault allegations against Kevin Spacey and Harvey Weinstein as awkward attempts at romance. This week, The Sunday Times ran another interview with the opinionated singer in which he stood by his original views. “You must be careful as far as ‘sexual harassment’ is concerned, because often it can be just a pathetic attempt at courtship,” he told the Times. In a fan video from his tour date at Chicago’s Riviera Theatre, however, Morrissey seemed to bac...

Meek Mill Represents Victims of the Justice System, Al Sharpton Says After Prison Meeting

Rev. Al Sharpton said a broken criminal justice system is responsible for Meek Mill‘s imprisonment and called Monday (Nov. 27) for the judge who sentenced the rapper to reconsider or step aside. Sharpton said he met with the 30-year-old musician in a Pennsylvania prison and told reporters outside the facility that Mill has become a symbol for the thousands of people who have been “victimized by abusive probationary and parole systems.” “He’s representative of many people in institutions like this that do little or nothing, they’re violated and their lives, their businesses are ruined,” Sharpton said. Mill was sentenced this month to two to four years in prison for violating probation on a roughly decade-old gun and drug case. The ruling came after ...

PWR BTTM Briefly Resurfaces on Twitter, Six Months After Sexual Assault Allegations

Six months after a sexual assault allegation against lead singer Ben Hopkins, indie rock duo PWR BTTM briefly reappeared on Twitter on Sunday night. The band’s official account, dormant since the publication of a second statement denying allegations, posted a vintage-looking photo of a person sitting on a motorcycle. After remaining up for about 12 hours, the tweet was deleted Monday afternoon. See a screenshot below. They just tweeted for the first time since May pic.twitter.com/VoS8k3xh7o — Vick Vinnegar (@Im_frank_Grimes) November 27, 2017 It was an inopportune reminder from a band whose alleged misdeeds presaged our current societal reckoning with sexual harassment and assault. Sexual misconduct accusations against Hopkins first surfaced online in May. PWR BTTM was quickly dropped by t...

A disgruntled former fan has been harassing the Korean girl group Apink with false bomb threats since June, resulting in Interpol intervention.   The anonymous threats have affected Apink’s career both in Korea and internationally and caused delays or venue changes at concerts and multiple other events the girl group’s members were appearing at. Since the summer, the six-member act has been the target of dozens of bomb threats at multiple public events throughout a variety of countries. As recently as last week, police in Tokyo received warning that an explosive device had been placed at a concert hall where the band was set to perform, while a hotel in Seoul was searched last week ahead of a press conference for a television show featuring member Jeong Eunji after it received ...

Timbaland Opens Up About Near-Death Painkiller Addiction & New Justin Timberlake Album

“The music we just made? It’s gonna put him on another plateau.” Timbaland is the subject of a new feature in Rolling Stone, wherein he reveals a private struggle with pill addiction that he says almost cost him his career and maybe even his life. “I was on drugs, dude,” Timbaland tells the interviewer, explaining that he got hooked on OxyContin while treating nerve damage from a teenage injury stemming from a gunshot wound. He says the problem was exacerbated by a lack of the chart success he had become accustomed to after two decades of world-conquering (and often world-altering) hits. “Once you’re not popping, it plays with your mind. The pills helped block out the noise — I’d just sleep all day. I remember JAY-Z told me one time, ‘Don’t do no more interviews’ — because I wa...
